REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY INFORMATION

WARNING! To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.

CAUTION: To prevent electric shock do not use this polarized AC plug with an extension cord, receptacle or other outlet unless the blades can be fully inserted to prevent blade exposure. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock do not remove cover. Please refer to an authorized dealer or to Wells Audio for qualified service personnel only.

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of an electric shock to persons.

This symbol is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the unit.

UNPACKING

The packaging for the Majestic integrated amplifier is simple, elegant and effective in protecting the Majestic during shipping. To remove the amplifier from it's packing, simply open the box, remove the amplifier and its foam end caps, and set it on a firm, flat, stabile surface, and then remove the foam end caps. Next, remove the plastic protective sheets from the faceplate. At this point we recommend that you check the amplifier carefully for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. Contact Wells Audio immediately if any damage is found.

It is important to keep all of the original packaging materials for any future need you might have to ship the amplifier. Shipping the Majestic integrated amplifier in any packaging other than the original packaging materials could result in voiding of the warranty repair coverage.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The unit should be connected to an AC power source of the correctly rated voltage. Never remove or modify the grounding feature of the connected AC power cord. Never expose the AC cord to excess heat or flame. The AC cord should fit firmly and securely into the chosen AC receptacle.

The unit should not be operated near water. If the unit is exposed to liquids serious damage can occur. Immediately shut the unit off and disconnect from the power source.

Make certain that the unit has proper ventilation during operation. Never block the slots located at the top of the unit and do not place the unit in a confined space during operation. These actions may result in damage to the unit due to overheating.

Never operate the unit with the cover off. Do not touch any internal parts. Damage to the unit may occur and serious injury or death may also result.

PROPER CARE

Do not use any cleaning products on your Wells Audio product. Instead, use a clean, non-abrasive cloth with clear water.

A proper break-in period is necessary before the unit will sound it's best. This allows for the establishment of of the cleanest conducting pathways and for the internal components of the unit to stabilize at their proper operating parameters. This is accomplished by simply playing music through the unit for a period of about 200 hours.

Front Panel

Volume Control-The knob on the left that is labeled volume. turning the knob clockwise while the Majestic is operating increases the volume. Turning the knob counter-clockwise while the Majestic is operating decreases the volume.

Input Selector-The knob located on the right side of the front panel is the Input Selector. It allows for the operation and selection of multiple sources through the Majestic. It is labeled with six selector positions. Reading from bottom to top they are XLR, 2, 3, 4 & 5. XLR is for operation via the pair of xlr connectors on the back panel labeled XLR under inputs. This connection is not a balanced connection but allows for the operation of a source component in unbalanced configuration through a pair of xlr cables. Inputs 2, 3, 4 & 5 allow for the connection of unbalanced source components through a series of RCA connection located on the back panel labeled inputs.

volumeter

The meter located in the middle of the front panel we have chosen to call a "Volumeter" because it tracks and expresses the volume in relation to the position of the volume attenuator visually in the analog domain by use of an analog meter. The Volumeter will light up in white when the Majestic is in operation. The meter is lit up in blue when the Majestic is in standby or in mute. When the Majestic is first turned on the integrated will come on in the standby mode and the Volumeter will be illuminated in blue. Pressing the standby button once on the remote will remove the integrated from standby and the meter will glow white. Pressing the mute button once will put the Majestic in the mute mode and the Volumeter will be illuminated in blue. Pressing the mute button once again will remove the Majestic from the mute mode and the meter will once again glow white.

power

The power button is located on the front bottom of the Majestic, just to the left of the Volumeter and near the front edge. The power switch is a rocker switch and is in the "off" position when it is positioned to the left. It is in the "on" position when located to the right. Once turned to the "on" position the Majestic will power on and the Volumeter will be illuminated blue to signal it is in the standby mode. Press the standby button on the remote control to enable operation of the Majestic.

back panel

While facing the rear panel of the Majestic on the left side are the inputs. Reading from far left to right there are the XLR connections and then RCA inputs 2-5. These will be followed by a pair of fixed output RCA connections for subwoofers, headphone amplifiers, etc. The left channel connections are on the top row and the right channel connections are on the bottom row of connectors. TO theright of the input connectors are two pair of 5 way binding posts for output to the speakers. Left channels are on the top and right channel is on the bottom. On the far right of the back panel will be located the detachable IEC connector for 115 volt AC power in. Connect your favorite power cord to this connector and then to the wall power to power the Majestic.

remote control

The Majestic has been supplied with a beautiful high quality solid aluminum remote control. The remote control has 4 buttons arranged in a "Y" configuration. The button on the top left will be labeled "standby". The button to the top right is labeled "mute". The button in the middle is labeled for volume increase and the bottom button is labeled for volume decrease.
